Lunchin' with a Friend

Mood: Content

My heart was full last night when I left Nikhil's after chopping vegetables and chicken with him. It's a perk that he feeds me, too! My sweet sweet guy gave me a card that said he's here for me and that I will find a job soon. He also gave me a mask (we can have matching masks now!), Nike socks for hiking, protein bars, and J Crew hair ties! My heart was so full!

I'm meeting my friend, Kevin, for lunch at Kroll's today. He went through a similar situation where he was laid off from his graphic design job. It's been ages since we've had lunch together, and I'd really like to ask him questions about how he networked and adapted to move into another career.

JOB HUNT: I have been coming across photography jobs today. I want to land a full-time job with benefits, ideally. Doing creative freelance work excites me as well!

Reminder to self: I need to be detail-oriented in all jobs and professions.

Also going to look at Y.93 Job Connection link.

I'm going to continue to work on sketches for my friend, Deb, who is publishing a poetry book. There isn't a hard deadline on the poetry book, but she connected with the editor and I via text last night. So, I'm using that text message last night as my momentum to "get back to work" on it.
