Happy Half Birthday to my other half! Tonight we are going to a favorite restaurant with excellent happy hour specials: Oahu! Nikhil is half way to being 31! His half birthday is actually tomorrow, but we are going to celebrate tonight since Nikhil has tennis practice tomorrow.
JOB HUNT:
The interview went very well at the Tribune yesterday. I could tell my would-be supervisor was eager to fill the CSR position. I'm hung up on the pay, though. I need to make a decision soon. Today I'm going to call BSC and ask if they have started interviewing (or if the positions have been filled?) Human Resources at BSC (Courtney): 701-224-2586 or 701-224-5531. Also emailed at
bsc.humanresources@bismarckstate.edu
bsc.humanresources@bismarckstate.edu
I am going to apply for the Graphic Design (USDA NRCS State Office) Position today. It's a contract position. All they can say is "no."
- UPDATE: Codie replied on email and requested a phone visit today! (Done!)
- Sanford Interview for Employer Account Services Representative | Occupational Medicine
with Diana Patterson, Sanford Health Talent Acquisition on Thursday, July 23rd, 10 AM
What I'm Looking For:
- 8 AM to 5 PM (or so)
- Great Benefits Package
- 401K Plan
- NOT High pressure
- Creative job is a plus!
- A job where I feel I'm making a difference in the world
- Clean Environment (I have allergies)
In a recent pep talk from Nikhil he gently reminded me that while I worked at my old job it allowed me to be able to afford to travel! India! England! Paris! The Pacific Northwest! I worked those hours and earned that enchilada money with my hard work and dedication. I need to channel that positive spirit into my job hunt.
Nikhil's Advice: "I'm thinking you'll probably want to accept the first position willing to pay you $30K+ with good benefits at a reputable company."
