Back to Work!

Mood: Surprised!

“Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.”
- 1 Thessalonians 5:11, (NIV)

“Christ Jesus who died — more than that, who was raised to life — is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us.” - Romans 8:34b (NIV)

My boyfriend tennis champ is playing in his tournament this Saturday, I can't wait to watch him play!

STYLE BLOG:  "What Does Business Casual Mean?"

JOB HUNT:

Well, I guess things have fallen into place. My official first week at Heartland Consulting (NRCS) is the first week of August 2020. It's a one-and-a-half year contract which will help with my anxiety and frame the upcoming years ahead. Codie is going to get me set up today with link pass. (Being me, I've already given myself permission to quit or look for another job if I find this one is "too high pressure," is a "burnout" job, or I'm not the right fit for it. There's always Target, and life is too short.)

The last time I worked freelance/contracting was when I lived in Minneapolis. I LOVED it! I actually felt very FREE and enjoyed working for Polasky Design more than the business journal in the Twin Cities.

I will have to tell the Tribune today that I will not being taking the CSR job.

I keep crossing my fingers that BSC will get back to me. My mom said that, and I agree with her.

I asked Codie, the recruiter, an important question about a job yesterday: What is the work culture like? Her answer was, "As for the culture, it’s a professional environment with business casual dress. Open door policy with flexible schedules. It’s a fairly quiet office, not a lot of interaction.  The individual would be on their own quite a bit."
