Mood: Inspired
Nikhil and I enjoyed the beautiful (although windy) weather yesterday. We've been running during the week. I finally ran a 5K yesterday. So grateful I got teary! I thanked Nikhil for his help, because I know I wouldn't have done that without his direction. Today we are going to food prep and play tennis.
Nikhil and I grocery shopped at Walmart with our masks on yesterday. There were 90 new cases of COVID-19 in North Dakota yesterday. I hope the numbers peak soon. It would be great to just get back to normal, whatever that may be. I also started reading "Girl, Stop Apologizing" by Rachel Hollis yesterday.
It's been a wonderful weekend. If it's possible to get a second wind on a career, I could be moving in that direction. Nikhil had words of wisdom last night. He said that we must HONOR our job, whether it is a CALLING or not. We also discussed (I mostly listened) how in our life CALLINGS we can HONOR being an Aunt, Uncle, Brother, Sister, Son, Daughter, Mom, Dad, and so on.
I have had my share of struggles, but I'd like to find more joy at work. (This can carry over into my personal life.) One of the things mentioned is that we can become more detail-oriented by trial and error. So, in other words, we can become more detail-oriented by making mistakes! I found some great articles on becoming a more detail-oriented graphic designer. YES! It is a skill that can be developed! Grateful for this.
