Medieval Rush 2019

A Happy Father’s Day to my wonderful dad! So proud to call him my dad! I’m going to stop by and see my folks tonight since Nikhil and I couldn’t make it last night.

Nikhil and I got through Medieval Rush 2019! Nikhil had an awesome time of 1 hour and 12 minutes (completed all obstacles!!!!) I came in at 1 hour and 27 minutes (did not complete all obstacles and ended the course early when I discovered I’d lost my car key on the course.) I had an ankle injury, and Nikhil said he was a bit sore today; otherwise we felt great! We are talking about doing it next year. I’m thinking I’d like to try doing a 5k this summer.

Adventurous day indeed! We found “Bill” by the beer area who had a tool kit to open my car. Thank goodness. (Now the door open sensor won’t turn off, but I’m still grateful.) Thank goodness AGAIN our friend, Rhea, said she could give us a ride back to Bismarck. (It would’ve been a LONG walk!) Then we washed up, grabbed my spare key (Amen! I had one!) and went to supper at Rolling Hills Truckstop. We’d been talking about eating there for ages! Everything was delicious, and the service was outstanding.

I received a text from the head of Medieval Rush to say they found my key! Praise
St. Anthony! I said a prayer to him yesterday! (Tony Tony come around, something's lost and can't be found.)

Photos: (1.) Nikhil and I after the race! Muddy, sweaty, and feeling stronger. (2.) Nikhil tried Borscht soup for the first time at Rolling Hills Truckstop. We ordered a feast fit for a WARRIOR!
